Milo spoke his first word yesterday - we nominated yesterday as the day to recognise, but in truth there are error bars. For some time he has had a particular sort of phoneme that he used whenever he saw a cat: dat, gat, dah, da, ga, dee. Yesterday we agreed there's a seventy percent chance that he'll say cat rather than anything else, and that that's what counts.
